Pleated Polyester Filters for Sediment Removal
Pleated polyester filters are an effective method for filtering out dirt, sand, silt, and sediment. They also work well as a pre-filter in larger systems. Compared to depth-type sediment filters such as string wound, spun polypropylene, or melt-blown types, pleated filters offer better performance due to their increased surface area. This results in longer life and a lower pressure drop.
The lower pressure drop allows for higher flow rates and the option to use smaller filter housings, helping reduce equipment costs. These filters are made from 100% synthetic media and are cleanable (from five microns and up), which helps lower cartridge replacement costs.
